The station interior is coming along very well. Most of the wall board and insulation is installed. The interior painting, ceiling grids, sprinkler head plumbing and final HVAC connections are going on now.

Progress continues, but unfortunately not on our original schedule.

A few challenges are going to delay our having substantial completion of the station by the intended November 30 goal, but our Architect and General Contractor are working to minimizing the impact. We are now looking at Substantial Completion to occur by December 15.

On the exterior the prime focus is assuring the curbing, concrete and asphalt are all installed before the batch plants shut down ... (Full Story & Photos)

52 days to go..and racing the rain!

I'm happy to report as of our last Building Committee meeting we are still on target for occupancy by November 30 2017.
The roofers have constructed the crickets where the garage roof connects with the front and rear towers, and now they are making good headway across the main garage roof span. Selling our 1980 GMC Brush Truck

In June 1980 the Fire Company purchased this 10,000 GVW GMC Camper Special cab and chassis from Wright Pontiac, then had the field fire body fabricated and the fire pump installed. It's the last of the trucks we have that was designed with a tailboard for firefighters to ride on, and the last of our trucks employing a manual transmission. 64 days to go, and going strong!

The crane arrived yesterday to lift the steel roofing onto the roof structure, and President Jarvis happened to be there to capture the picture for us. The roofers started installing liner, insulation, and roof on the back of the building today. The HVAC units are installed on the roof, the exterior windows are now mostly installed, and the interior framing/rough work is almost ready for inspection. ... (Full Story & Photos)
