The concrete pads in front of the garage doors are being poured, the roof over the garage is starting to take shape, and the first window is installed in the training tower. The sprinkler system is complete in all interior areas except the truck garage, and interior HVAC, framing and wiring are proceeding nicely.

9-9-17 Building update

The concrete garage floors are now poured, the training tower interior stairs and landings completed, most of the exterior brickwork is complete, and the Storm Water infiltration tanks are being installed behind the building. The new utility poles out front have been installed, the old poles removed, and the wires raised up to assure adequate clearance for full height trucks using the station. In ... With deep sorrow, the Officers and Membership of the Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company #1 announce the passing of Life Member Melvin Henning the evening of Tuesday September 5, 2017. Mel joined the Fire Company as a Firefighter in 1977, and filled numerous roles within the Fire Company including President from 1981 to 1988. He continued to be a very active part of the Fire Company until his passing.

94 Days To Go... Garage Floors And Front Masonry Work In Progress!

Contractors started pouring the garage floors this morning, and they are setting up the scaffolding to lay the brick for the front Administrative Tower. The interior work is progressing with some of the initial preliminary mechanical inspections occurring the end of last week.
